University Liaison


Want to get more involved with Christian Students?  We are looking for a University Liaison to facilitate communications between the club and the University of Wisconsin- Madison.  You will be the primary contact between the university and the club leaders and members.  Help us maintain our good RSO standing that we have with the university.  A staff member will help support.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend bi-monthly leadership council meetings
  • Attend required meetings from the University (i.e. Badger Step Up, Grant Hearings, etc.)
  • Pass information from the university to all leaders and staff members 
  • Be familiar with the university’s policies for Operation Grants and Travel Grants
  • Main contact for communication with the university on behalf of Christian Students
  • Reserve tabling for Org Fairs and information tables during the academic year
  • Be willing to help other leaders in Christian Students in their roles and duties

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be an active member of Christian Students for at least (1) year
  • Must be competent in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power point, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written

Preferred:

  • Have read the entire New Testament

Social Media Specialist


As a social media specialist you will be part of team that is responsible for promoting and representing our club in multiple social media channels.  Write, design, and post stories about what makes Christian Students a great college organization to join!  You will be responsible for creating videos for our club events, taking pictures that capture who we are, and blogging about the Christian life in your college years.  Cultivate a digital community with our members by responding to comments or questions.  A staff member will help to oversee and support the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend bi-monthly leadership council meetings
  • Update and maintain the WIN site
  • Work with staff, other social media specialists, and other members to produce content on different social media channels
  • Monitor activity to help build engagement
  • Write weekly email updates about our club activities
  • Create promo videos for events
  • Take pictures that capture the day to day life of a member of Christian Students
  • Promote club branding through advertisements, posts, and stories
  • Be willing to help other leaders in Christian Students in their roles and duties

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be an active member of Christian Students for (1) year
  • Must be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power point, etc.)
  • Must be familiar with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written

Preferred:

  • Have read the entire New Testament

Outreach Specialist


Are you outgoing and like to meet new people?  Christian Students needs you to be one of our Outreach Specialists.  As an Outreach specialist you will be the primary contact for new students who have signed up to join our club or to want to find out more about us.  Reach out to prospective members to meet over food or coffee to welcome them into the club, then get them connect to a community group.  A staff member will help support.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend bi-monthly leadership council meetings
  • Form a team of club members to welcome prospective members and recruit active members to welcome events
  • Primary contact for students who sign up via website, WIN site, or other social media channels
  • Work with staff and other members to connect prospective members and linking them with a community group
  • Representing the club and answering questions about the club to perspective members
  • Be willing to help other leaders in Christian Students in their roles and duties

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be an active member of Christian Students for (1) year
  • Must be outgoing, friendly attitude
  • Must be flexible to meet students
  • Must be involved with at least one community group in Christian Students
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written

Preferred:

  • Have read the entire New Testament

Meeting and Event Planner


Love hosting events or planning for big gatherings?  We are looking for individuals who can work together on a team to create, plan and execute all types of events for Christian Students.  Plan events that help new students get connected to other members or small retreats for members to get closer to God and enrich their college experience.  Manage overall budget, scheduling, vendors, meals, advertisement, and other materials for each event. A staff member will help to oversee and support the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend bi-monthly leadership council meetings
  • Be able to work in a team to create, plan, and execute events for the club during the school year
  • Lead a team of members for set up, run, and break down each event
  • Make room reservations for Bible studies, group meetings, and/or other events for the club
  • Ensure compliance with all university requirements and restrictions for hosting events on campus
  • Be willing to help other leaders in Christian Students in their roles and duties

Qualifications:

Required

  • Must be an active member of Christian Students for at least (1) year
  • Must be detailed orientated and work well in a team
  • Must be highly organized
  • Must be competent in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power point, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written

Preferred

  • Have read the entire New Testament

Leadership Council Intern


Christian Students Leadership Council is a group of students who come together to fellowship and pray for UW-Madison.  They take the lead in the student organization by being a pattern to other members. Also they learn how to coordinate, plan, and execute various weekly events and activities with the support of the staff.  As an Intern you will be helping in planning and executing various activities for Christian Students.  You will be a part of a team of students to carry out events, creating social media content, contacting prospective members, and helping to maintain our good standing with the University.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend bi-monthly leadership council meetings
  • Attend the majority of Revive meetings during the semester
  • Be willing to help other leaders in Christian Students in their roles and duties
  • Be able to coordinate and work with other interns on projects or supporting events.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be an active member of Christian Students for at least (1) semester
  • Must be competent in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power point, etc.)
  • Willing to be flexible and work well with others
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written

Preferred:

  • Currently reading or have read the entire New Testament
